NIT modules and BE-series head units
Ferrari's factory audio setup through this era runs through a NIT control module paired with a BE-series head unit. Like any factory electronics closing in on twenty years old, the failures are predictable: cold solder joints on the module's board, backlighting that has gone dim or patchy, and connectors that have corroded from years of heat cycling in the cabin. A dead NIT module usually shows up as total silence rather than a partial fault, which is often the first clue to what actually failed.
BE-series head units fail in more familiar ways: a CD mechanism that won't load or eject, a display that blanks or flickers under vibration, and static that creeps into every source no matter the volume. None of it is exotic on the parts side. The real scarcity is a shop that still stocks the platform and knows which fault sits behind which symptom, rather than swapping parts until something sticks.

Bluetooth retrofits, ASK amplifiers, and shipping a unit in
For Ferrari radios built between 2000 and 2008 we also fit a hard-wired Bluetooth and AUX retrofit behind the stock faceplate, so the factory look stays intact while the phone pairs through the original speakers. Ferrari ASK amplifiers are repaired on the same bench, diagnosed the same way as the head units and modules above.
