Becker Auto Sound works on the factory unit the car came with, not aftermarket car-audio installs. Carry a unit upstairs at 101 Route 46 West in Saddle Brook, or ship it in from anywhere in the country or the world. Everything below is organized by the kind of work, then by marque.
Repair work
Head units and PCM repair
Bench diagnosis for dead PCM 3.x touch screens, cracked-in-dash displays, HDD failures on PCM 3.1, tired CD mechanisms and no-power faults. Repairs use Harman/Becker original replacement parts where they exist, and a PCM 3.1 can go from a failing hard drive to an SSD, or gain Apple CarPlay and a reverse camera.

Amplifier repair
Logic 7, ASK, M-ASK, Bose and Nokia amplifiers come off the bench working again, including Ferrari ASK amps, Range Rover Logic 7 amps, Mini Cooper amps and Toyota JBL Harman amps. Certain amplifiers carry a three-year warranty rather than the standard one year. Mark Levinson amplifiers are no longer repaired here.

Bluetooth and AUX retrofits
A module wired in behind the original faceplate, so the dash looks exactly as the factory built it. Coverage runs from classic analog radios (1954 to 1980) and Becker aftermarket sets (1998 onward) through Mercedes-Benz single-DIN and Comand, BMW 5, 6 and 7 Series, Porsche CR, CDR and PCM units, Ferrari radios and Sprinter units.

Classic Becker restorations
Tube-era radios through fully digital units get restored the way they came out of the car: Europa, Mexico and Grand Prix. Fully restored units are also sold outright, including the Europa Cassette with its pinstripe faceplate, and a restored classic can take a retro Bluetooth or AUX upgrade too.

Speakers and Hirschmann power antennas round out the marque work, with a credit toward a rebuilt antenna when you exchange the old one.
Two honest limits worth knowing up front: there is no repair service for Audi units (our eBay store carries used Audi units only), and Mark Levinson amplifiers are no longer repaired here.
Buying and shipping
Refurbished radios and full-upgrade systems
Rebuilt, no-core-required units are sold outright for Mercedes-Benz, classic Becker, Porsche, Aston Martin, Chrysler Crossfire, Ferrari, the BMW K1200LT and BMW, plus used Audi units. Mercedes-Benz also gets a full-upgrade system: radio, speakers and harness sold as one bundle.

Every incoming repair travels with a completed repair form, packed so nothing shifts in transit. Returns go out UPS Ground insured, with USPS Priority International for units heading overseas, and expedited options for a fee.
