Chapter 01
Mercedes-Benz speakers, 1953 to 1995
We cover Mercedes-Benz speakers across two eras: 1953 to 1971 and 1972 to 1995. The mounting, the impedance and the cutout size all change between those generations, so a speaker pulled from the wrong-era parts bin rarely sits right in the dash, kick panel or rear deck even when it technically fits the hole. We work each location on the car rather than treating a car's speaker set as one interchangeable part.

Porsche Euro-size speakers
European cars from this period were built around metric, Euro-size speaker openings that don't match the round, standardized sizes most American speaker stock ships in. We carry that fitment for the Porsche 911, 914, 356 and 924, so the replacement actually seats in the factory location instead of needing an adapter ring or a re-cut opening.
That matters as much for sound as it does for fit. An adapted speaker sitting proud of the panel changes the way it radiates into the cabin, which is part of why a factory-fitment replacement holds up better than a generic round speaker forced into a Euro cutout.
Chapter 03
Hirschmann power antennas and the exchange program
Hirschmann power antennas from 1965 through 1989 and later fail in one of two places: the motor that drives the mast up and down, or the small internal amplifier that boosts the signal before it reaches the radio. A mast that grinds, sticks partway or won't retract points to the motor; weak or staticky reception with the mast working fine points to the amplifier.
