We work on the full run of Mercedes-Benz factory electronics, from the earliest Becker-branded classics through the last Comand NTG head units, on the same blue bench upstairs in Saddle Brook.
Chapter 01
Every generation, by name
Mercedes-Benz coverage is the deepest thing we do. The classics run 1954 to 1971 and 1972 to 1995, both built around Becker hardware from an era when Becker was the factory-fit brand for the marque. From there we see the 1981 to 1999 cars fitted with Becker and BE-series single-DIN head units, where a cracked display, a stuck cassette mech or a dead backlight is a bench repair, not a swap. Classic BE-series head unit repairs run around $235 each.
Newer than that, the 2000 to 2007 and 2008 to 2014 cars carry Comand, and we service every NTG generation that shipped across those years. The S, CL and SL-Class cars from 2007 to 2013 get their own attention too, since that platform pairs Comand with a heavier amplifier and speaker load than the sedans.

Comand and M.O.S.T. fiber-optic diagnostics
Comand and the newer Bluetooth-capable head units sit on M.O.S.T., a fiber-optic ring that daisy-chains the radio, amplifier, phone module and sometimes the instrument cluster together with optical cable instead of copper. It is an elegant design when it works and a frustrating one when it doesn't, because a single failed module anywhere on that ring can go quiet for every device behind it, not just the one that's actually broken.
Tracing a M.O.S.T. fault means testing each module in sequence rather than guessing at the radio first, and it's a big part of why a Comand complaint that looks like 'the radio is dead' is often a different component entirely once it's on the bench.
Chapter 03
Amplifiers, speakers and power antennas
Behind the head unit, Mercedes-Benz cars of this era carry Bose, Becker, AGW or Harman amplifiers, and we repair all four. Speakers get replaced or repaired in the dash, the kick panel and the rear deck, and the mounting and wiring differ enough by chassis generation that fitting the wrong-era speaker is a common mistake we see corrected on the bench.
Hirschmann power antennas covered the 1965 through 1989-and-later cars, and a mast that won't extend, retract or receive is almost always the motor or the internal amplifier inside the antenna body, not the radio end of the circuit.
Full-upgrade systems and honest limits
For owners who want more than a repair, we build full-upgrade systems for Mercedes-Benz: a new radio, matched speakers and the harness to tie it into the factory wiring, done as one job rather than piecemeal parts. Bluetooth and AUX retrofits go in behind the original faceplate on cars that never had it from the factory.
